*sigh*
First the business and the fair, then the most joyous event of the weekend.
The fair is over, what a long week.
It started out with nice weather on Tuesday, then on Wednesday, it was raining and chilly, Thursday was just as bad as Wednesday, then Friday came and the weather broke, the sun came out, the temps were up and the people came to the fair. The wet, chilly weather kept the crowds to a minimum, even on the night that Rodney Aktins was in concert. All in all I believe the fair was a success. We ran out of our business card size magnets (we had 500) and we put a really good dent in our stock of business cards, brochures, large magnets and postcards. We meet many pervious customers and made some new ones. Hand wrote notes that referred customers to flamingoed.com and rentaflock.com more than 20 times (after the first couple of request I sat down and wrote out 20 notes so we would have the ready when someone asked) for companies where we don't have dealerships.
Glad the week is behind us though, doing the fair, running the office, delivering and picking up displays and then family stuff, I need about a week off, but that's not going to happen as it was back to work this morning, finishing a new design for Chicago.
Now for the greatest news of the weekend.
My first granddaughter arrived early Sunday morning, (making it even a harder to be at the fair, no sleep and wanting to be with Kara and Lilli) Arriving at 4:53am my new little sweet heart is the greatest baby there is! There is nothing better than holding her.
Tomorrow back to walking at the park in the morning until Kara goes back to work, then I won't be able to do that every day as I get to baby sit, (Yeah).
Gotta get back to work.
Catch ya later, some where in the unwritten future, because it ain't happened yet
